Do you ever stop and think "wow, i'm getting old?" That's how I feel every November when my brother Robert, four years my junior, celebrates his birthday. Robert has spent the past year working with me, taking endless Instagram snaps and shooting a lot of the content on my blog, so this year I wanted to do something extra special for his birthday. Rather than a cliché Vegas trip, I was in search of something unforgettable and wanted create memories we'd look back on with fondness.
We packed our bags and headed towards Palm Springs for a luxe retreat at La Quinta, A Waldorf Astoria Resort. Under the guidance of world-class professional race car driver Randy Schwoerer, we set out for one of the most unique experiences of my life. It was absolutely unreal driving through the desert canyons in a McLaren MP4-12C, I felt like I was in a living/breathing luxury car commercial. To say operation memorable birthday was a success is an understatement, everything about the Waldorf Astoria is world class. From the moment we checked in and met our personal concierge Alyssa, to spa treatments at La Quinta Spa--living in the lap of luxury is something we can all get accustomed to.
