One of the most glorious things about living in Los Angeles is notably the weather. I always point out to people visiting from out of town that LA is one of the few places where you can leave work and have dinner and drinks by the pool year around. In other parts of the United States people have to leave work, throw a parka on, walk in the snow, hop on a train and wake up and do it the next day. Perhaps this is why people in la are seemingly always happy?
One of my absolute favorite after work destinations in LA is Hotel Wilshire by Kimpton Hotels. Situated on the west side of Beverly Hills, the unassuming hotel has an amazing rooftop that delivers on sweeping views of Hollywood without the pretentious Hollywood rooftop attitude. I'm a serious creature of habit so the Roof on Wilshire often hosts lunch/dinner meetings, casual pre-games before a night out and even dates!
