In a world where retail is completely stagnant, it's exciting to find the next wave of prime shopping destinations and retailers. With the opening of Acne Studios and the Ace Hotel in downtown LA, it's to easy to see that the in-crowd is moving east.
One particular men's store downtown, Seven Points, is bringing under-the-radar designers to the forefront of L.A.’s fashion scene with their new, masculine downtown location.
This store is all about function over flash. Just how I like it. They hold true to their motto of 'progressive attire for the modern gentleman' and seriously deliver a shopping experience, rather than a quick in and out purchase. The exposed brick, 20 ft tin ceilings and that genius ox blood couch creates a casual-youth energy that makes you want to hang out and drink a beer while you shop.
I got the opportunity to visit the store last week and put a look together, which was no easy feat. Seven Points arguably has the most expansive menswear selection in LA and not to toot my own horn or anything, but that's seriously saying something. Leather, denim, basics, hats, sunglasses, shoes, tee's, button downs, backpacks, accessories ALL OF IT. It's hard to find one store that covers every base for a man, luckily Seven Points is it.
